To mark the Poblenou Open Day on May 12, organized by Poblenou Urban District, Espacio 88 presented Object Subject 01, a collaborative project curated by Espacio 88, Ryan Board, and Gennís Senén. It was the first event in a series of installations featuring 30 inspiring objects selected by 30 professionals from various sectors—in this case, product designers. The installation offered a personal vision reflecting their work philosophy and the physical sources of inspiration that are often overlooked in a subjective digital world. It also aimed to promote and connect the local design community and create a dialogue about the present and future of the practice as a whole.
All this was accompanied by a live radio program throughout the day hosted by Radio CC club. From early morning, there were toasts with artisanal jams from La Madre de Miren and, of course, the best coffee from Skye Coffee Co. Sustainable and healthy food from Bon Aprofit in collaboration with PAA (Plataforma Aprofitem els Aliments), accompanied by an Espiga craft beer or a fun cocktail from MixologyArt.
