The Minimum Sea

To mark Open Night 2017 organized by Poblenou Urban District, Espacio 88 and Goroka presented The Minimum Sea, an event focused on the essence of the product that explored the sea and how it leads to the search for the essential, based on the “less is more” philosophy.

The evening featured the presentation of the audiovisual piece Nemo by Goroka, which showed Dídac Costa‘s solo voyage around the world in a sailboat, passing through the most remote place on the planet from any inhabited area: Point Nemo. It continued with a debate on the “minimum” concept in different areas of life, joined by: Jordi Castel and Jordi Veciana as architect and designer from Castel Veciana Arquitectura, Guille Cascante as director of Goroka, Javier Argüello as the piece’s screenwriter, and Dídac Costa as a sailor, sharing their perspectives on the concept and reflecting on the paradox of being so far and so close at the same time.

All this was accompanied by a natural beer bar from Garage Beer Co, sea-inspired food by Bon Aprofit, and a showcase of the Pere IV 29 project, a creative neighborhood community by Big Kids. In collaboration with Lightsound.
